Department Responsibilities
The services provided by the Human Resources Department are:
- Administration of, and guidance to, operating documents in labor and employee relations
- Administration of the city's risk management program
- Conducting and administering the city's recruitment and selection program
- Develop, administer, and conduct citywide training programs
- Ensure city compliance with applicable labor, benefit, medical, and safety laws and regulations
- Oversight of the employee benefits administration
- Provide oversight of the city's classification and compensation system
