Mosquito Control Treatment Scheduled:

**MOSQUITO CONTROL TREATMENT SCHEDULED AFTER DETECTION OF INVASIVE MOSQUITOES**
The Sacramento-Yolo Mosquito & Vector Control District has informed the City of Winters that more invasive mosquitos have been found in Winters. Since the initial detection on Tuesday 9/15 Mosquito & Vector Control District staff has conducted door-to-door inspections and their laboratory set out additional traps. Surveillance results detected immature mosquitos developing in different water sources found in backyards and flying adult mosquitos in various homes. As a result of these findings, they will be responding with ground mosquito control treatments targeting immature and adult mosquitos early tomorrow Friday (9/18) and Monday (9/21) morning. The treatments will take place between Anderson Rd on the north, Wild Rose Ln on the east, West Main St on the west and Wolfskill St on the south. The treatments will take place between 2:00am-5:00am. Over the next few weeks, the Sacramento-Yolo Mosquito & Vector Control District will continue to work diligently to assess the scope of the infestation and continue with ongoing inspections and treatments as necessary.
